Design and Access statements (DAS) are short reports that support a planning application and outline how the proposed development is sympathetic to its location and setting and how access will be addressed.
It is a requirement of applications for major developments (both full and outline applications) and is also required for applications in conservation areas and World Heritage Sites for single dwellings or buildings of more than 100 sq. m. Listed building consent applications must also include a DAS
We have the skills and experience to write a compelling DAS for you, where it needs to explain the design principles, concepts and address any access issues in the proposal with consideration of relevant Local Plan policies which we know how to apply.
