Senior Planner

The Role

  • Working as part of a growing planning team on planning permissions for a number of varied projects, from start to finish
  • Preparing planning statements and other associated documents for planning applications;
  • Instructing and overseeing specialist consultants in the preparation of material to support planning applications and conditions;
  • Submitting and monitoring applications for planning conditions and s.106 requirements;
  • Supporting the Directors with the preparation of planning appeals;
  • Building your network and developing the business

Skills and Experience

  • RTPI Chartered
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge and application of national and local government policy
  • Previous experience within a similar working environment on residential schemes within the public or private sectors
  • Ability to work autonomously and business development skills

Principal Planner

The Role

In this role you will be pivotal in assisting in the growth of the business, managing existing staff and nurturing existing client relationships. You will have autonomy to put your own stamp on projects. Working within a small but growing team you will support clients with projects in a wide variety of sectors. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who will enjoy bringing in and winning new business. 

In order to be considered you will have a demonstrable record of managing clients from initial contact through to project completion. You need to have had experience managing junior staff and be commercially astute. The successful candidate will need to be able to articulate how you would move the business forward and develop current and new clients.

Skills and Experience

  • A high level of planning knowledge and the ability to undertake a variety of projects across a diverse range of sectors.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and negotiation.
  • Commercial awareness, able to identify and respond appropriately to new business opportunities and foster strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its application.
