McLoughlin on target for shooting school plans

Expert knowledge of local and national planning policy helped McLoughlin Planning secure permission for development at Ian Coley Shooting School.

The internationally recognised country sports business will be able to expand its club house and gun shop as part of a wider programme of upgrades.

Using the NPPF’s support for the rural economy and Cotswold District Council’s local commitments to supporting visitor attractions was a key part of the application’s success.

Working with the existing structure, McLoughlin teamed up with architects to find a scheme that protected the setting of the AONB while achieving the desired level of security needed at the site.

The proposals will enable the business to bring its facilities in line with its competitors elsewhere in the country.

McLoughlin Planning Managing Director, Nathan McLoughlin, said: “Ian Coley MBE is a household name in the shooting world and it was a pleasure to work with him on this exciting project.”

“The Application was granted under delegated powers with few conditions and we are extremely proud to achieve this result.”
