Experience

Braden joined McLoughlin Planning in 2021 while completing his MSc in Town Planning, having previously graduated with a degree in Geography from the University of Gloucestershire. Before entering the planning profession, he spent six years in a management role with Specsavers in Cheltenham, developing strong leadership and organisational skills that now underpin his work in consultancy.

Since joining the team, Braden has established himself as a committed and capable planner. He brings a focused and analytical approach to each project, providing clear advice, detailed research, and effective problem-solving to support clients across a wide range of schemes.

Braden’s experience includes barn conversion proposals, householder extensions, development appraisals, certificates of lawfulness, and rural development projects.

Hobbies

Outside of work, Braden is a keen sportsman, enjoying cricket, golf and five-a-side football. He is also an accomplished cornet and guitar player and, as an ambassador for the Royal Geographical Society, maintains a strong interest in travel and global exploration.
