Experience

Joe has worked in the private sector for the past few years with a strong focus on residential development, but also has experience in commercial and tourist projects. He has experience in householder and full planning applications, appeals, lawful development certificates, and Section 73 applications. He has worked on a variety of projects across England, Wales, and Scotland, meaning he has had the opportunity to work with a range of Local Planning Authorities.

Joe graduated from Edge Hill University in 2020 with a degree in Geography before completing his Master’s degree in 2022 at the University of Birmingham with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning. More recently, he achieved chartered status with the RTPI in 2026 following successful completion of his Assessment of Professional Competence.

  • Planning permission in various Green Belt locations for detached outbuildings.
  • Section 73 applications for holiday let conversions in both Cheltenham and Devon.
  • Retrospective planning permission for an enforcement case in Surrey Heath for an unlawful outbuilding.
  • Planning permission for works within the grounds of a Grade II Listed Building.
  • Successful appeal of a refused planning application in Spelthorne, Surrey, for the conversion of a residential garage into a self-contained

Hobbies

Going to the gym, warm sunny holidays, and seeing as many live concerts as possible.
